Wood-onWood interlocking drawer glides are an integral part of our 4-point suspension drawer glides system that provides the balanced opening and closing of drawers.			In all of its case pieces, Sumter Cabinet has French and English dovetailing. Because of its superior strength, French or sliding, dovetailing is used to attach the front drawer to the sides, a critical joint. The rear of the drawer is then joined to the sides using English dovetailing. The solid wood drawers are hand sanded and sealed to protect the most delicate of fabrics for the life of the cabinetry
Solid wood end panels extend from the top of the case piece to the floor. This increases strength of the product. Decorative framing on tops and bottoms of furniture can be replaced without disturbing the basic construction of furniture.			The connecting point of the bed rail to the bed post, as in other major stress points of the furniture, is reinforced with wooden dowels. This is a turn-of-the-century method of furniture joinery that Sumter employs to provide added strength and durability.
